.KEY MESSAGES...
- Dry and warm weather will prevail through this weekend.
&&
.SHORT TERM... (This evening through Friday) Issued at 113 PM CDT Thu Oct 2 2025
Dry and warm weather will persist across West Central Texas through Friday, as a high pressure ridge aloft dominates our weather. Light winds will prevail the next 24 hours, with lows tonight in the 60s and highs tomorrow afternoon in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
&&
.LONG TERM... (Friday night through next Thursday) Issued at 228 PM CDT Thu Oct 2 2025
Both the GFS and ECMWF depict high pressure largely remaining in control of the region through this weekend and into early next week. This will result in hot and dry conditions across the region. Otherwise, a weak cold frontal passage may occur by mid week. However, this remains pretty uncertain at this time regarding the strength and timing of the boundary`s arrival. A low chance for rain (20% or less) is forecast across the Big Country. Otherwise, expect hot and dry conditions to be in place for most of the long term.
