.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1225 AM CDT Fri Sep 26 2025
The upper-level trough that has brought more reasonable weather to South Texas continues to make its way across The South through this weekend. Most of the CAMs are hinting at some shower/storm development this morning as a result of this upper-level feature still draped across Coastal Texas. Given the significantly reduced PWATs forecast for the region and the greatest enhanced divergence aloft focused near the TX/LA border, decided to back off on PoPs for the region today. With dewpoints generally remaining at bay for the forecast period, temperatures will be more seasonal across the region. Beyond Thursday, the NBM is throwing low end PoPS (10-20%) but if this comes to fruition, it will primarily be for locations closest to the coast.
