.DISCUSSION... Issued at 120 PM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025
...Synopsis...
Large scale ridging will continue across much of the CONUS for the forecast period. A brief breakdown in the apex of the ridge will allow for some showers and a few rumbles of thunder Friday evening, but otherwise impacts will be limited. Above normal temperatures will continue through the next week as the ridging continues to linger.
Ensemble guidance hints at southwest flow potentially setting up next week, which is reflected in NBM probabilities for precipitation around 20%. Smaller scale features have a low predictability and the spread significantly breaks down so predictability for weather impacts is low.
