- Seasonable temperatures can be expected through Saturday night, then readings will warm to several degrees above normal for Sunday and early next week.

- A tropical system over the southeast U.S. late next week could bring chances of rain back to our area, but the forecast through next Thursday is dry for now.

.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1255 AM CDT Fri Sep 26 2025

Surface ridging with the return of an upper level omega blocking pattern should result in dry weather through the next several days. Highs will work into the low 80s.

Our remain quiet until mid week when tropical cyclone activity is progged to potentially approach the Carolinas. This pinches up our blocking pattern enough to result in some increasing moisture from the east. The column still looks a little too dry for rainfall chances for now. A backdoor front then works into the area by Thursday that looks to scour moisture further. Of note we still have a fairly unusual dual- tropical cyclone forecast in the GFS/ECMWF, those cyclones are impacting the upper air pattern and if the actual intensity ends up being different than modeled, which is likely, then more substantial changes in the medium range forecast is possible.
