High pressure at the surface will keep winds light and skies mostly
clear for the rest of the day. Temperatures will peak this afternoon
in the upper 80s to around 90, before dropping into the mid 50s to
low 60s overnight. Upper level ridging will begin to build over the
are tomorrow as an upper low sits over the southwest and an upper
trough moves over the eastern United States. This will raise
temperatures a few degrees for tomorrow afternoon, putting us a few
degrees above normal. West Central Texas should remain dry for the
short term, with all the best rain chances off to our west
thanks to the aforementioned low.

Not an unusual weather pattern across West Central Texas to end
September and start October, with quiet conditions continuing.
Weak upper level ridging will hold across the area into the early
portions of next week, before a weak upper level low creeps close
enough to allow for some northerly flow aloft. None of this makes
much difference in the day to day weather through mid week, with
no cold fronts and no real change of air mass. Thus, highs mainly
in the mid 80s to around 90, with morning lows in the upper 50s
and lower 60s.
May see an increase in the low level thermal ridge build into the
area by the end of next week and allow for temperatures to
increase into the mid 90s.
