.FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 142 PM MDT Tue Sep 23 2025
High pressure remains over much of Idaho for at least today and tomorrow meaning dry, warm weather each afternoon. Winds will remain fairly light today and we will see gusts only about 20 mph in the afternoons. Min RHs will be on the downward trend for the next several days with min RHs today and tomorrow around 20 to 25 percent. By Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we will see min RHs fall back down to around 15 to 20 percent, but we still won`t have enough wind around to reach any critical fire weather conditions. For the second half of this week, an area of low pressure remains over the Southwestern US and we will remain in a mix of zonal flow and weak high pressure. At this point, it looks like dry conditions will continue until at least late Sunday, if not Monday, and even then precipitation chances look fairly low for now.
