Things remain the same for this forecast package, with daily low to
medium (20-40%) rain chances expected through the weekend and into
early next week. Moisture will increase slightly late this weekend
and into early next week, contributing to slightly above normal
temperatures. By mid-week, chances for rain and thunderstorms will
increase as a shortwave trough and a boundary approach South Texas.
As in the previous forecast, the exact timing and location of these
features remains questionable, so have continued capping PoPs at
60%.
Forecast tidal values are lower than in the previous few days, but
it is possible that we could still see water reaching some of the
walkways and roadways around high tide. Confidence is lower in this
than in previous days, but we will all need to continue to monitor
beach conditions.

Light patchy fog is developing around the VCT area this morning.
Brief MVFR conditions at VCT will give way to VFR by mid morning.
VFR conditions will prevail across S TX through the TAF period
with brief patchy fog expected once again around VCT early
Saturday morning. Light and variable winds this morning will
increase to 10-15 knots from the east-southeast. Occasional gusts
to around 20 knots across ALI and CRP can be expected this
afternoon.
