Early evening water vapor satellite imagery is showing a drier air
mass that has pushed south into the northern and central portions
of the forecast area this evening, which kept rain coverage
significantly lower than what was seen on Wednesday afternoon. A
couple of showers are still lingering over southwest Florida, but
these will continue to rapidly dissipate over the next couple of
hours, with rain free conditions then expected through the rest of
the overnight hours.
Some minor adjustments were made to the rain coverage forecast
through 10 PM to keep up with radar trends. Otherwise, the
forecast looks on track, and no other changes are planned for the
evening update.

A few showers are lingering around southwest Florida early this
evening, but should be cleared out by around 02z with rain free
and VFR conditions holding overnight through Friday morning. Drier
air will limit rain chances Friday afternoon, although a few
showers or storms cannot be completely ruled out after around 20z,
with the highest chances over southwest Florida around KRSW,
KFMY, and KPGD.

Northeast winds persist over the waters through the weekend
remaining below cautionary levels. Each afternoon winds will turn
onshore as a weak seabreeze tries to develop. Tonight, showers and
storms could be possible over the waters causing periods of gusty
winds.  Drier air moves in tomorrow through the weekend limiting
rain chances.
